CrimeCog Technologies' enhanced version of its Jail Booking and Management System (JMS) will allow customers to automate and better manage inmates, inmate accounts and costs. Part of the E*JUSTICE SYSTEMS public safety software suite, the JMS helps corrections personnel manage and track all aspects of incarceration, from inmate risk levels to biometric identification, movement tracking to court appearances to probation and parole management. Customers are already using the new version's enhanced ability to track inmate financial obligations. The JMS release also assists customers seeking to recoup inmate costs billable to other agencies and jurisdictions. And the system features functions related to inmate work programs. The updated JMS helps customers define and track various types of inmate billing, from room and board to medical expenses, commissary purchases to damages and beyond. And jurisdictions can establish and customize rates for services as well as payment plans and options. The enhanced JMS also automates the billing and processing of inmate payments for room and board. Once an individual is no longer in custody, the system can automatically create and send invoices and, when necessary, late notices. In addition, the new release automates the process of tracking and billing non-local inmate costs to other jurisdictions and agencies such as the Federal Government's Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE).
